Routines:
PE:
During Autumn 1 our PE days are Wednesday and Friday please send your child in the correct clothing.
Reading:
Your child will have two reading books one will be a school reading book and the other will be a library book that can be shared at home. Please bring library books into school every week and their reading book everyday. Your child can change their reading book when needed and will have the opportunity to change their library book each week.
Your child should read at least four times a week, which is tracked in their reading record by writing the date and page numbers. Your child can read independently and date their own reading record.
Home learning:
Each half term, there will be a letter sent home explaining the home learning task that can be completed. This will be a project, relating to school topics, that can be completed across the half term and brought in on the last week.
Spellings:
There are weekly spellings set each half term and the full sheet will be sent home at the beginning of term. This will be a weekly test done on Friday morning.
Times Tables:
This year is the Multiplication check and children are encouraged to go onto TTRS at home for at least 10 minutes 4 times per week.
